Keyboard shortcuts
Every key Concat listens to, on a Mac and on Windows and Linux.
Shortcuts are shown in the menus and in every tray button’s tooltip, with the right keys for the platform you are on. Single-key shortcuts do nothing while you are typing in a text field.
Change a shortcut
Settings › Shortcuts lists every action with the keys it answers to. Click a row and press the keys it should take; Escape cancels. If another action already has those keys, they move to the new one and the old action is left with no key (”… is unbound now”) until its row’s Reset gives it back. Reset all puts every key back as shipped. The menus and the tray’s tooltips show the keys as they are bound now.
A few chords belong to the window and are refused (“That chord belongs to the window”):
⌘O and ⌘W everywhere, and on Windows and Linux Ctrl+Q, F10 and Alt+F, Alt+E, Alt+V. The Shortcuts page is a desktop one; a phone has no keyboard to bind.
The tables below are the keys Concat ships with.
Project and window
| Action | macOS | Windows and Linux |
|---|---|---|
| Open project | ⌘O | Ctrl+O |
| Import media | ⌘I | Ctrl+I |
| Save | ⌘S | Ctrl+S |
| Export | ⌘E | Ctrl+E |
| Settings | ⌘, | Ctrl+, |
| Close project | File menu | Ctrl+W |

Editing
| Action | macOS | Windows and Linux |
|---|---|---|
| Undo | ⌘Z | Ctrl+Z |
| Redo | ⇧⌘Z | Ctrl+Shift+Z or Ctrl+Y |

| Mute the selected clip | M | M |

Rows marked 0.2.8 are new in 0.2.8, coming in the next release. Split at playhead cuts every clip under the playhead in 0.2.7; from 0.2.8 it cuts the selected clips, and every clip under the playhead only when nothing is selected. Delete left and Delete right are CapCut’s keys for the same thing: they cut the selected clip from its start to the playhead, or from the playhead to its end, and close the gap on a magnetic timeline. See cut on the timeline.

Shortcuts keep working with Caps Lock on. There is no J, K, L shuttle and no I and O for in and out points yet.
